This collection consists of copies of letters by Mother Theodore Guerin from 1841 to 1853. The originals are stored in locked file cabinets. The last file folder, 23, contains Mother Theodore's Book of Important Letters. Some letters are translated; often the date and translator are indicated. Some are typed. All have the date written on the first page, an item number corresponding to location in the file, and a number with the prefix MT. If the letters appears in The Journal and Letters, this is indicated by J&L and the page number. All are dated. All have a copy of the address and sometimes the postmark attached.
